a bye bye.

I said goodbye to my nephew Dora last night, and I think he understood.

Up.

These photos were taken at the start and finish of the same day.

Something non-square.

So... these aren't exactly socks, but I'm glad to announce the completion of a non-square project.

The original pattern didn't have tassels with pom poms, but I'm convinced pom poms make just about anything better.

Another one.

I made this scarf while commuting to and from work during the week before Christmas:

Again, I used the seed stitch but this time in a really great orange.
It is fun working with quality materials.
I loved this wool so much I made a second orange scarf during my flight to WA.

Big yarn, big needles: fast knitting.

Speaking of fast; I-5.

Some more knitted goodies.

The cold weather is one of my biggest motivations for completing my knitting projects. 32 degrees? Yuck; and it will only get colder.

Well, to be honest, another motivation is having the biggest deadline of them all just around the corner: Christmas. YIKES!

I made this headband and scarf set today using the same wool as my other earwarmer/headband. Instead of the garter stitch, I used a seed stitch.

I think the texture of the seed stitch is very nice. Of course the pom-poms still need to be added to the earwarmers before they're completed, but over all... not bad for a day's work.

Stay warm, and happy knitting!
