Daily Doodle 4-24-09
So, I noticed a little visitor out back over the last week when one of the 4 leaves of my newly sprouting cilantro plant was nibbled off. I didn't want my parsley to be next so I set a trap out last night. I was shocked to find my mousetrap about 10 feet away from it's original location. I may have to call in for some reinforcements. :(

The Complete Dish Towel.
Here is my completed masterpiece.
*
How could I have called my beautiful dish towel a "rag" in my post from the 14th? Although my edges are a little lumpy, I don't think it turned out bad. To finish the edges I "figured" out how to do a single crochet around the towel. I'm not entirely sure if I did it correctly, but we will see when it gets examined by a professional (which may result in some redoing). Stay tuned for the verdict. ;)
peace outs lake trouts.

Dish Rags!
Easter Sunday started off kind of bad. The power was out, the civic was dead and wouldn't take a jump, and we were ignored by 3 waitresses at Easter brunch so decided to go to another restaurant after 20 minutes of neglect. Despite the power outage there was enough hot water for showers though, and regarding the "power outage" in my car I was lucky to have my personal mechanic change my battery.

So the day kept getting better and better. One highlight was that I got to re-learned how to crochet. Nonni taught me how to do a "double crochet" to create highly prized dish towels. Here is my dishtowel in progress! They match my tulips and daffodils from Elma.
Happy "Yarning"!

Sea Life Themes.
I don't really feel bad about my "endy doodle" from earlier today because one, it was a matter of the heart, and two, i had a productive day of artwork making
Here we have the beginnings of three different pieces: a monoprint with a septopus made of vellum, an airplane collage with some fish, and a seahorse collage.
It was really fun working with colorful paper today. I have some great colorful ideas of how these 3 pieces will be finished.
Stay tuned for the final products! xoxo
Daily Doodle 4-7-09
I was so excited to find out today that my favorite player Endy Chavez from the Mets is actually on the Mariners. Well, he was tied with pitcher Oliver Perez, but Endy has solidified the #1 position in my heart since he followed me from NY to WA. That is love. ha. Furthermore, to explain just how crazy I am about this player, if I ever start a band I am naming it "Happy Endy" as tribute to my favorite outfielder. <3
